Byron’s leadership and dedication extended beyond his academic achievements and were instrumental in the founding of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. As one of the original members, Byron played a critical role in shaping the fraternity’s mission and values, which focused on the importance of achievement, brotherhood, and service.
His vision and influence helped establish Kappa Alpha Psi as a fraternity that would not only foster academic excellence and leadership among African American men but also provide a supportive network committed to uplifting communities and advocating for social justice.
Byron’s involvement in founding Kappa Alpha Psi demonstrated his commitment to creating opportunities for young Black men to excel in environments that often lacked support and representation.
